GREETING CARDS FOR ALL OCCASIONS!

Yes, I finally got all the pictures taken and have all of these cards posted in my SHOP! However, the Square Shop wants a square picture and the cards are not square. Therefore, the pictures have been cropped for the SHOP.
Ah, but have no fear...I have them all posted here. Thanks for stopping by!

NOTE PADS & PENS - Great Teacher Gifts!

It seems like I have a difficult time getting into my craft room.
However, when I do, I sure can get a lot done! This is my latest addition to the my SHOP:

I started with a Post-It note pad (3 x 3), covered it with some great paper, inserted a magnet under the butterfly that keeps the pad closed when you aren't using it; added a pen and tied it all up with a pink ribbon.

I am working on additional color combinations and will have those ready, hopefully by next week!

I am pleased with the way they turned out! Let me know what you think!

Spools to Delight!

I found these great spools and wanted to find something fun to make with them. I started by wrapping each spool with a yard of baker's twine. I played around with the wrapped spools until I finally tried stringing them with a wooden bead in between each one and came up with this result! Each one measures 3" in diameter. I just need to add a "hanger" and they will be ready to display.

It then occurred to me that I might want to USE the baker's twine.
The next generation will fix that issue! Stayed tuned...

I still can't seem to get my pictures to line up the way I want them to. I guess I'm better at creating than I am at the "techy" stuff!

Special cards for special people!

Here is a remake of my first card. The "Happy Birthday" is in black and white. The "Thanks So Much" is in Not Quite Navy and white. This is an easy card to make! Maybe it will be one that we make in my first workshop...whenever I get my first workshop scheduled!

CROCKPOT BEEF STROGANOFF

I've been cooking again! Here is another easy crock-pot recipe. I use Lipton Onion Soup mix instead of onions because of my family's preferences. I also added a jar of mushrooms. Try it and let me know how you like it!

CROCKPOT BEEF STROGANOFF

2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
2 cans mushroom soup
1 pack Lipton Onion Soup mix
1 jar sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
½ cup water
¼ cup beef broth
1 8-oz package cream cheese
Cooked egg noodles

Spray crock pot with Pam to prevent sticking.
Combine meat, mushroom soup, onion soup, mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, water, and beef broth.
Cook on Low for 8 hours (or High for 5 hours).
Stir in cream cheese 30 minutes before serving.
Serve over cooked egg noodles.
Serves 8.

I will be adding all of my recipes under the "Additional Pages..." section.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will come again!

I have been busy in my craft room! I found these beautiful roses on Pinterest and created my own versions.

They are now available in my SHOP and on Etsy. I can create these in just about any color, so let me know if there is a color you would like for me to create for you!

SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

My mother used to make a sour cream cake and she would add "6 glugs" of Sherry to the mix. This recipe is generally the same, but without the Sherry. It's one that my husband likes, so I am adding it to my cook book.

3 cups sugar
2 sticks butter (1 cup) - softened
6 large eggs
3 cups cake flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream (8 oz)
1/4 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Sift sugar three times. Cream butter and add sugar until mixed well. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well. Add salt to flour and sift together three times. Add soda to sour cream and mix well. Starting and ending with flour, alternate adding flour and sour cream to batter, mix well. Add vanilla extract. Pour batter into a well greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Tooth pick inserted into cake should come out clean.

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering what a "glug" is...take the bottle, tip it to pour, and as it comes out it "glugs", so count 6 of those glugs!

Enjoy and stay turned for more recipes and new products!

Do you have a child that hates bath time? Why not try tempting her with one of these wash cloths?

Here are some of my wash cloths that I have finally posted in my SHOP and on Etsy! There are different sizes and different materials, but all of them have some cotton.
Sugar-n-Cream is 100% cotton. (butterflies, cat, snail, pineapple)
Premier Home Cotton is 85% cotton and 15% polyester. This yarn is a little softer, but holds up just as well. (sea horse, starfish)
Lion Brand Cotton Ease is 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. This works well for kitchen dish cloths. (cookie jar)

These cloths can be used for washing children, dishes, or yourself! I will have more patterns and more colors soon. I am also working on an alphabet. I will post pictures of each letter done in a different color as soon as I get it finished!

Let me know what you think!

I don't know why, but I cannot get my pictures to line up the way I want them to. Oh well, enjoy and watch for more to come in the near future!
