Do you have a child that hates bath time? Why not try tempting her with one of these wash cloths?

Here are some of my wash cloths that I have finally posted in my SHOP and on Etsy! There are different sizes and different materials, but all of them have some cotton.
Sugar-n-Cream is 100% cotton. (butterflies, cat, snail, pineapple)
Premier Home Cotton is 85% cotton and 15% polyester. This yarn is a little softer, but holds up just as well. (sea horse, starfish)
Lion Brand Cotton Ease is 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. This works well for kitchen dish cloths. (cookie jar)

These cloths can be used for washing children, dishes, or yourself! I will have more patterns and more colors soon. I am also working on an alphabet. I will post pictures of each letter done in a different color as soon as I get it finished!

Let me know what you think!

I don't know why, but I cannot get my pictures to line up the way I want them to. Oh well, enjoy and watch for more to come in the near future!

My Favorite Chili!

It has been cold in Atlanta this week, so I decided to make chili!  My hubby likes it and several of our friends have tried it and seem to like it too. I hope you will try it!

MY FAVORITE CHILI
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground turkey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion (optional)
1 16-oz can of red kidney beans, drained
                (light or dark)
2 29-oz cans of tomato sauce
1 15-oz can of tomato sauce
2-3 teaspoons chili powder
½ tsp sweet basil, crushed
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper

In large skillet cook beef, turkey, garlic and onion (if using) until meat is brown. Drain fat.
In a large sauce pan (6 qt minimum) combine kidney beans,  2 29-oz cans tomato sauce, chili powder, sweet basil, salt and pepper.
Add meat mixture and mix well. Add the 15-oz can of tomato sauce.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Cover, simmer for 20 minutes.
The chili can be topped with shredded cheese and/or saltine crackers.
Serves 4.

Stay warm and stay tuned for more inspiration coming soon.

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2015!

A new year and a new beginning. I have already been busy in my craft room. I made 20 Curvy Keepsake boxes as favors for my Georgia Homemakers using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die from Stampin' Up! (Item #135853 can be ordered using the third link above).

I am also experimenting with different papers and colors to create Tea Light Roses. Here is a sample of what I have made...so far. These will be available in my SHOP (see the first link above) in the very near future. If there is a color you would like to see, please let me know. I am still in the developmental stages.

My husband and I are still hopeful that we will be able to adopt our first child this year. However, the waiting is so hard, so I'm staying busy. I'll have more creations to post, including some good recipes, in the coming weeks.

I hope to restock my Etsy store very soon as well. Everything available in my Etsy store is also available in my SHOP.

Thank you for stopping by! I really appreciate your support. I wish a healthy and prosperous New Year for everyone!
