Crockpot Italian Chicken

Today I am making one of my favorite (fast and easy) dishes.
I hope you like it!

Crockpot Italian Chicken

2-3 cups chicken (cooked & diced) I like to use chicken tenders.
1 package Zesty Italian dressing seasoning pack
8 oz package of cream cheese (softened)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 soup can of milk (add more milk it the mixture is too think)
1 10 oz jar sliced mushrooms
1 Tablespoon Sweet Basil

Put all ingredients into a crockpot and cook on low for 4 hours.
If sauce is too think, add more milk, about 1/2 cup.
Serve over COOKED BOW TIE PASTA.
Sprinkle with Parmassian cheese if desired.

Ready for a little exercise?

The newest item in My Shop is a great novelty, gag-gift item! It is the latest and greatest in exercise equipment!

Introducing:    THE EXERCISE BLOCK

These blocks make great gifts for walking clubs, gym friends, or any special group or person to whom you want to say “this made me think of you!”  This is a NOVELTY item and is intended for ENTERTAINMENT purposes only!
Each block is cut from pine, sanded, and assembled by hand. Generally each block measures 2” x 2” square and about ¾” thick, with slight variations due to sanding.  The “shoes” are available in 4 different colors: blue, green, pink and purple. Because these blocks are made from natural wood, there will be slight variations in them due to the natural beauty of the wood.

They are available in my shop for $2 each.

Waiting...and waiting...and waiting...

Everything we can do has been done. We have completed our home study, registered with AAG, completed our profile book, registered with an adoption agency, and now we wait. We are seeing maybe five opportunities each week, but so far no one has been what we consider a potential match. So...we wait.

While I'm waiting I'm knitting like crazy! I'm working on some dish/wash cloths. I hope to have those posted soon.
Meanwhile, here are the Starbella scarves I now have available:

Scarves for our adoption!

Our Home Study is complete and my husband and I are ready to roll on our adoption adventure. We hope to adopt a child in the next few months. The adoption process takes lots of money, so I am hoping to supplement the cost by selling my hand-knitted ruffle scarves.  I have a large assortment and I am making more every day. Some of my scarves are pictured here and others are pictured under "Additional Pages".

Some of these are available in my Etsy store (see link above), but I also sell direct. I have over 50 different scarves to choose from and I am making more every day! If you are interested in a particular color, just let me know.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you for your prayers and your support. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I have played with these pictures, but can't seem to get them to line up. Please excuse the placement. I knit much better than I blog!

Snow Days!

Avairy - Made for You - Thoughts and Prayers

We had a couple of bad snow days here in Atlanta, so I had some time to make this adorable card using the retired Avairy stamp set using Blushing Bride.

A couple of weeks later we had ICE and SNOW, so I changed up the colors and made these cards.
These were made with Wisteria Wonder:

These were made with Marina Mist:

I hope we don't get any more ice and snow like we had this month!

Stay - Tea Shoppe

One of my favorite sets from Stampin’ Up! is the Tea Shoppe set. The large cup is used here on the front, along with the “Stay…” saying.  Inside I have used one of the smaller tea cups.

I like trying different color combinations when I make my cards because I like to see what the different colors look like and which one I like best.  I think on this one…purple is my favorite.  I hope you find one (or more) that you like too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY -- CASED FROM SUSAN GILLESPIE

Here in Atlanta we got 1-3" of snow on Tuesday (1/28). For us, that's a big deal. Two days later we are still working on the thaw. Mostly we have to wait for Mother Nature to warm things up because we don't have the snow removal equipment that our friends in the Northern states use on a regular basis.
As a result, I have had a couple of extra days off this week, so I have been in my craft room making cards.  This is a birthday card that we made in our Stampin' Up Divas class with Susan Gillespie last year. Instructions for the card can be found on her blog here. Susan is my SU demonstrator and she has many beautiful cards that she has us create each month. I also have a link to her blog on my page.
The little bags are a lot of fun to make. The original card looks like this:

I tried some different color combinations:
Susan shares a video on how to make the little bags. I had a great time making the first card in class and making a dozen more on my snow day! I hope you like them too!
And just look...two posts in January 2014! I wonder if I can make it three? I have two days left! :)

Especially For You

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am going to try this again, starting in 2014.
Let's see how far I get with my blog this year!
Here is a card "Especially For You" made up in several different color combinations.
I used the ribbon saving technique with the ribbon in the knot.
Butterflies and hexagons make this card fun!
